Vision Mapping.
Ein 12 x 4 Meter großes Wandbild über Visionen, erstellt in Kollaboration mit den Künstlern und Gästen des Festivals "Wunder der Prärie".
A 12 x 4 meter mural on visions, created collectively with the artists and guests of "Wunder der Prärie" Festival.
Performed at
Festival "Wunder der Prärie", Zeitraumexit, Mannheim 09/2011
Mapping the visions of „Wunder der Prärie“ festival in Mannheim, in the summer of 2011. Instead of devising a performance on the subject of visions that the hosts had chosen, I decided to spend the ten days of the festival, working 8-10 hours each day on a mural that would bring together, confront and discuss the visions of artists and audiences of the festival. Everyone was invited to add their vision to a large, 8 x 10 meter wall, either on A4 size questionaires or by drawing, painting or writing directly onto the wall. I connected the dots, arranged the contributions and added my own thoughts and drawings. Over the course of the festival a spectacular Map of Visions developed, and many great conversations about the subject of the festival took place in front of it. On the last night of the festival, during a four hour impromptu performance lecture, I proposed a reading of everything that had been collected on the wall while painting it white, returning it to its original state.
